353 City of Philadelphia s.ct City Seal Be it remembered that on the Ninth day of April in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty three personally appeared before me Benjamin Chew Esquire recorder of the City of Philadelphia (the Mayor of the said City being absent) the Reverend Richard Peters a person well known and of good Faith and Credit who being sworn on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God doth declare and say that on the day of the date of the within written indenture he was present and did see Daniel Dulany sign seal and Execute and deliver the same indenture and heard him the said Daniel Dulany at the same Time declare the same indenture to be his proper act and Deed for the uses therein mentioned and further that he the said Richard Peters did write and subscribe his Name as a Witness to the same and saw Thomas Willing the other subscribing Witness write and subscribe his name to the said Indenture at the same Time In Testimony whereof I have caused the seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of Philadelphia to be hereunto affixed the day and year first above written Richard Peters Sworn before me Benjamin Chew Recorder of the City of Philadelphia Recorded the 24.th of April 1763 11 s.d Exam This Indenture made the second day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty three Between William Allen of the City of Philadelphia in the province of Pennsilvania Esquire of the one part and Henry Boquet Colonel of Foot in his Majesty's Army of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Allen for and in consideration of the sum of Five shillings to him in hand paid by the said Henry Boquet at or before the sealing hereof (the receipt whereof is |
