292 and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing or deed of Mortgage to be his act & Deed to and for the purposes & uses within Mentioned according to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such case made & provided Geo Steuart Recorded the 25.th day of January 1763 18 s.d x.d This Indenture made the Eight day of February in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty three Between Richard Mackubbin and Elizabeth his Wife Daughter and Devisee of Patrick Creagh deceased of the one part and James Dick of ANn Arundel County aforesaid Adjoining on the Head of Dorsey Creek and on the commonage without the Gate of the City of Annapolis as by the Bounds thereof may appear and laid out for one Hundred ^and twenty^ Acres more or less to his Daughter Elizabeth her Heirs and Assigns for ever And Whereas the aforesaid Tract of Land together with other things were Mortgaged by said Patrick Creagh to the Assignees of Philpot and Hutchingson late of London Merchants and Bankrupts and the said James Dick having Purchased the same Tract of Land aforesaid of the said Assignees or their Attorney in fact as also the Equity of Redemption of the said Richard Maccubbin and Elizabeth his Wife Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Richard Mackubbin and Elizabeth his Wife for and in consideration of the sum |
