       January 12.th 1763  Received of M.r Henry Gaither
       Twenty shillings & Eight pence sterling for the use of the Lord
       Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Lands by
       Virtue of a commission from Edward Loyd Esq.r his said
       Lordship's Agent & receiver General

       To all Christian People to whome
       these presents shall come I Thomas John
       Hammond of Ann Aredell County Greeting
Exam.d  Know Ye that I the said Thomas John Hammond as
       well for and in consideration of the Naturel Love and
       Affection which I have and bear to my sone John Hamond
       As also for divers other good causes and considerations have at
       this present Espetially moveing Gave given granted and
       by these presents Doe give grant Transfer and Confirm
       unto my said sone John Hammond and his Heirs and
       Assigns for ever   All that Tract of Land Called and Known
       by the Name of Gosnells Adventure containing One hundred
       ninty and Nine akers more or less lying and being in
       Ann arendell County on the south side of Patapsco River
       near the Head of a Creek called Rock Creek with all and
       singler the appertenancys thereunto belonging or in any ways
       appertaining  To have and to Howld the said Tract of Land
       and all the appertenantes their unto belonging or in
