276 of Three Pounds Ten shillings Sterling Money of Great Brittain it being the consideration mentioned in the within indenture as Witness my hand the day and year first above written Testes Geo Steuart & Nathan.l Waters Larkin Peirpoint 1763 January 11.th Received of M.r Ephraim Davis one shilling and eight pence half penny sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the alienation Fine on the within Forty two Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esquire his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 12.th January 1763 6½ s.d Ex.d This Indenture made this twelfth day of January in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and Sixty three Between Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Barrister of the one part And Henry Gaither of Frederick County in the Province afores.d Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain to him in hand paid by the said Henry Gaither the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby intirely acquit release & discharge the said Henry Gaither his Heirs executors and administrators for ever Hath granted Bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed |
