244 1762 October 20.th Received of M.r Basil Dorsey Eleven shillings & one penny half penny sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the Within Two hundred and seventy eight acres of Land by Virtue of a commission from Edward Loyd Esq.r his said Lordship's Agents & receiver general Benj.a Beall On the 19.th Day of October 1762 Came Before us the subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County the within Mentioned Nicho.s Ridgeley Warfield and acknowledged the within Deed to be his act and Deed and the Land & Premisses within Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Mentioned Basil Dorsey and his Heirs according to the True intent & Meaning of the said Deed Taken and Acknowledged before us the day & year above written Caleb Dorsey Junior John Burgess Junior 6 sides Recorded the 22.d October 1762 Exam.d Know all men by these Presents that I Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Barrister Heir and Executor of the within named Charles Carroll Mortgagee for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty five Pounds two shillings to me in Hand paid by the within named Ulrick Whisler the within Mortgageor and the Sum of Twenty six pounds Eighteen shillings to me in Hand paid by Margaret Whisler Executrix of the said Ulrick Whisler it being in full of all Principal and Interest Money due upon or by Virtue of the within (written) |
