172 named Sue and one Negro Girl named Priss To have and to hold the said part of the Tract of Land afores.d and premisses with every of its Rigths Members and appurtenances unto him the said James Marshall his Heirs and Assign, To the only proper use and Behoof of him the said James Marshall his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever, And also to have and to hold the aforesaid fourteen Negro slaves unto him the said James Marshall his Executors Administrators and Assigns, to his and their only proper use and Behoof Provided always and it is the true Intent and Meaning of these Presents that if the said Francis King his Heirs Executors administrators or assigns or any of them do and shall well and truly satisfy content and pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Marshall his Executors administrators or assigns the aforesaid sums of Two hundred and Twenty eight pounds sixteen shillings and eight pence sterling Money and ninety nine pounds nineteen shillings and two pence Current Money with legal intherest thereon and the cost and charge of drawing and recording this Instrument of Writing And also all such sum or sums of Money and Tobacco, which the said James Marshall shall hereafter |
