142 Exam.d This Indenture Tripartite made the fifth day of September in the Year of our Lord God one Thousand seven hundred sixty and Two Between James Houston of Worchester County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the first part; George Layfield of the County and Province afd Gentleman of the second part; And Jessee Ennis of the same place Taylor of the Third part; Whereas a certain Robert Houston formerly of Somerset County in the said Province of Maryland deceased Grand father of the said James Houston by his last Will bearing date on or about the Twenty fifth day of April in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand six hundred Ninety and three did Devise unto his Eldest Son John Houston a certain Tract or parcell of Land called Scotts Lott scituate lying and being formerly in Somerset County (but now in the said County of Worchester) on the south side of Pocomoke River about Two Miles in the Woods from the then Dwelling Plantation of Robert Houston containing one hundred Acres (of which the said John Houston was then Possessed in Tail male whose Heir Male the said James Houston the present Grantor now is Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said James Houston for the Docking Barring and Cutting of all Estates Tail and Remainders in Tail of and in the above mentioned Tract or parcel of Land Messuages Hereditaments |
