134 and agreed that the said slaves should be and remain in the hands and Possession of him the said Henry Woodward his Heirs Executors or Administrators on his the said Henry Woodward his Heirs Executors or Administrators providing the said Charles Homewood his Board at his own Table washing and Lodging untill the said Land Mortgage made by the said Charles Homewood to the said Henry Woodward should be redeemed And Whereas by one Deed of Indenture made between the aforesaid Charles Homewood and the aforesaid Henry Woodward on or about the fourteenth day of March seventeen hundred and sixty one and Duly acknowledged and recorded in the said Records it is amongst other things covenanted granted and agreed that he the said Charles Homewood should and might from thenceforth untill the fifth day of November seventeen hundred and seventy one have and use for his own Dwelling and Habitation a sufficient Part of the Large Brick Dwelling House on the Land and Premisses mentioned in the said recited Mortgage and should also untill the same Time have the use and service of the said two mentioned Negroes and should and might from thenceforth untill the said fifth Day of November seventeen hundred and seventy one have and enjoy full and free Liberty to employ the said two Negro Men and also one other Labourer in the Cutting removing and carying Wood away from off the Lands and Premises mentioned in the said Mortgage for the proper use and Benefit of the said Charles Homewood so that the said Charles Homewood should not employ above the number of Three Persons in the Cutting and Carying off such Wood, nor should Cutt fell or in any manner destroy |
