he saw John Johnston the other subscribing Evidence, sign his
        Name as Witness thereto at the same time and that the said Deed
        was duly Executed in their presence by the party within Mentioned

        Be it remembered that on the eighteenth day of August 1762
        before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court
        of Maryland personally appeared James Dick one of the attorneys
        appointed by the within Power of Attorney and in pursuance
        thereof acknowledged the Within Instrument of Writing to be
        the Act and Deed of the Within named John Buchanan and
        the Lands and Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right and
        Estate of the within Named Ignatius Digges his Heirs and
        Assigns according to the true intent and meaning of the same
        Deed and the act of assembly in such case made and
