       Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of Baltimore County Court the within named
       Joseph Gostwick and acknowledged the within Indenture of Bargain and Sale to be his
       Act and Deed and the land and Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Estate right and
       Title of the within named James Richard his Heirs and Assigns for Ever and at the same
       time came Sarah the Wife of the said Joseph Gostwick who being privately Examined out of
       her said Husbands hearing freely gave up her Right of Dower to the said Land and premisses
       without fear or Displeasure of her said Husband aforesaid

       Nine the Sum of Twenty Pounds Current Money of Maryland being the consideration for the

Ex.d  Know all Men by these Presents that I Duncan Campbell of London
       Merchant but now in the Province of Maryland for myself and John Steuart
       of London Merchant and my Copartner in Trade Have Constituted appointed
       an din our Places and Stead Put And by these Presents Do constitute appoint
       and in our places and Stead put M.r William Lux of Ann Arundel County our
       true and Lawfull Attorney for Us and in our Names Places and Stead and to our
       Use to Sell and dispose of all and all manner of Goods Wares and Merchandizes
       which We shall send and consign to him from time to time to be sold in our shop
       or store at the Elk Ridge Landing in Ann Arundel County And to Ask Sue
       for Levy require Recover and receive all and all manner of Debts Sum of Sums
       of Money Tobacco or any other Thing which shall arise due be owing or become
       Payable to Us the said John Steuart and Duncan Campbell by or from any Person or
