(65) bounden John Row whilst he shall continue in the Office of Receiver or Collector of the Land Tax in Prince Georges County shall well and faithfully Execute and perform the Several Duties required of him to be performed by the Act of Assembly of this Province Entituled an Act for Granting a Supply of Forty thousand pounds for his Majestys Service and Striking thirty four thousand and fifteen pounds Six shillings thereof in Bills of Credit and raising a Fund for sinking the same and do well and faithfully pay to the Commissioners of the Loan Office for the Time being the Several Sums of Money which he shall receive or be answerable for in Virtue of the same Act at such Time as by the said Act is directed according to the true Intent and meaning thereof then the above Obligation to be void and of no Effect otherwise to sides remain in full force and Virtue 4 Sealed and Delivered John Row (seal) in the Presence of F.s Waring And.w Symmer (seal) C Beanes Geo Gordon (seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorsed Viz.t Prince Georges County fs.t On the Twenty Ninth day of November 1759 Came before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid Francis Waring and Colmore Beanes and made Oath on the Holy Evangels that they were present and saw the within John Row Andrew Symmer and George Gordon Sign Seal and Deliver the within Bond sworn before Jo Belt J.r Recorded 9th Jan.ry 1760 Jn.o Cooke Ex.d This Indenture made the first day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine Between John Gassaway of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the one part and Henry Gassaway of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth That the said John Gassaway for and in consideration of the (sum) |
