       Sum of Five Shillings of Lawful Money of England to him in hand paid by the
       said Henry Gassaway at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the
       Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath bargained and Sold and by these
       presents doth bargain and Sell unto the said Henry Gassaway all that Tract or parcel
       of Land with the Appurtenances called Gassaways Addition lying and being
       in Baltimore County containing two Hundred ^& Eighty^ Acres of Land To have and to hold
       the said Tract or parcel of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances hereby
       Bargained and Sold or mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold
       unto the said Henry Gassaway his Executors Administrators and Assigns
       from the day next before the Day of the Date of these presents for during and
       unto the full End and Term of one whole year from thence next following and fully
       to be compleat and ended To the intent and Purpose that the said Henry Gassaway
       may be the better Enabled to receive and take a Grant or Release of the premisses
       hereby bargained and sold ^or mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold^ to him and his Assigns for and during the Natural
       Life of the said John Gassaway in Such Sort Manner and Form as in and by
       one Indenture intended to bear date the Day next after the Day of the date of
       these presents the same shall be granted released and conveyed In Witness
       whereof the Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set
       their Hands and Seals the day and year first above Written

       Dorsey of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the third Part Witnesseth That
