(368) hereby Covenant grant and Agree to and with the said George Matthews That I will Warrant and Defend the said Parcel of Land with the Premisses and Appurtenances unto him the said George Mathews his Heirs and Assigns for ever against all persons lawfully claiming or hereafter lawfully to claim from by or under me the said Thomas Matthews or my Heirs or by my or their means or Procurement In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Matthews have hereunto set my Hand and Affixed my Seal the seventh day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty one Signed Sealed and Delivered In Presence of NRuxton Gay Thomas Mathews (seal) Wil Lyon On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written to wit On the 7.th day of October 1761 Came the within named Thomas Mathews before us the subscribers two Justices of the Peace for Baltimore County and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed and all his right and title to the within mentioned parcel of Land to be the Right and Title of the within named George Matthews his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the within Instrument of Writing as Witness our Hands NRuxton Gay Wil Lyon 1761 Octo.r 10.th Received of M.r George Matthews five shillings and one Penny Sterling for the Use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within one hundred and twenty seven Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships Agent & Receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded 10.th Oct.r 1761 8 s.ds |
