(366) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t Rec.d Sept 12 1761 of Ephraim Howard Howard the Sterling sum of One hundred and Ten Pounds Sterling the Consideration £110 Exprest in the within Deed Witness John Snowden Rich.d Snowden Sam.l Thomas (son of Jn.o) Henry Wright Crabb On the 12.th day of September 1761 Came Henry Wright Crabb and Richard Snowden before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Instrument to be their Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within named Ephraim Howard his Heirs & Assigns for ever according to the true intent & meaning of the said Deed & the Act of Assembly in such cases made & provided & at the same time came also Ann the Wife of the said Crabb & Elizabeth the Wife of the said Snowden and being by privately examined out of the hearing of their said Husbands acknowledged their right of Dower and that they did the same of their free & voluntary concent without being thereto compelled by any threats from their said Husbands or fear of their Displeasure Taken before Geo Steuart Recd this 26.th of Septem.r 1761 the Sum of Eighteen Shillings Sterling being the Alienation Fine for the within Land for the Use of the Lord Baltimore Edw.d Lloyd Recorded 3.d Oct.r 1761 10½ s.ds Exam.d To all Christian People to whom these Presents shall come I Thomas Mathews of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland send Greeting Know Ye That I the said Thomas (Matthews) |
