(35) and every part thereof to and for the only proper use and Behoof of him the said David Downie his Heirs and Assigns for Ever and to or for no other Use Intent Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably Set their Hands and Affixed their seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Dryden forbes (seal) In the Presence of Jn.o Chesley James Forbes (seal) Mev.l Lock David Downie (seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Received the Day and Year first within Written of and from the within named David Downie the within mentioned Sum of Three hundred and Ninety Eight pounds Nine Shillings and Six pence Sterling being the consideration within Mentioned Witness Jn.o Chesley Dryden forbes Mev.l Lock 6th July 1759 Came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Saint Marys County the within named Dryden Forbes James Forbes and David Downie parties to the within Deed and did acknowledge the same to be their Several Act and Deed to and for the Uses Intents and Purposes within mentioned and the Land and Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the said David Downie his Heirs and Assigns for Ever according to the Purport and true meaning of the same Deed Jn.o Chesley Mev.l Lock Received of M.r David Downie Nine Shillings and eight pence farthing sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the alienation fine on the within Mentioned Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships Agent and Receiver General 10½ sides Recorded 10th October 1759 Rich.d Dorsey |
