(334) Aforespecified Recited Deed of Mortgage and shall not then be redeemed by by the said Charles Homewood his Heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs untill the aforesaid sum of Money and Interest shall be fully paid and satisfied unto the said Henry Woodward his Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns and the said Charles Homewood for himself his Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns covenants Grants and Agrees to and with the said Henry Woodward his Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs and Assigns that he the said Charles Homewood his Heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs shall well and truly pay unto the said Henry Woodward his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs the aforesaid sum of ninety five pounds one shilling and seven pence half penny with interest thereon at the time Limitted herein for payment provided the said Negroes or Slaves should not die or other casualty happen and the said Henry Woodward shall not assign this present Deed of Mortgage to any person or persons whatsoever or any the securities herein mentioned and that any assignment thereof made shall be void and of no Effect In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our Hands and Affixed our seals the day and year first above written Sealed and Delivered in the C Homewood (seal) presence of (the word Henry being Hy Woodward (seal) first interlined Tho.s Jennings Reverdy Ghiselin At the foot of the aforegoing mortgage was thus Written Viz.t Rec.d the day and year first above mentioned from the aforementioned Henry Woodward the sum of ninety five pounds one shilling and seven pence half penny sterling money for the consideration mentioned in the aforegoing Writing Witness then ps.e Tho.s Jennings Ch.s Homewood Reverdy Ghiselin |
