(335) Came Charles Homewood Party to the aforegoing Deed and did acknowledge the same under the covenants therein mentioned to be his Act and Deed and the Negro Men or Slaves or therein Mentioned to be the right and Estate of the aforementioned Henry Woodward his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs according to the true intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such case made and Provided Acknowledged before ^me^ the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace for Ann.l County Aug.t 27 1761 Recorded 27th Aug.t 1761 8 ½ s.ds Reverdy Ghiselin Exam.d This Indenture Tripartite made the fifth day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and sixty one Between Richard Thompson of Cecil County in the Province of Maryland Gent of the first Part Ephraim Thompson of Cecil County and Province afd Farmer of the Second Part and James Hollyday of Queen Anns County and Province afd Gent of the third Part Witnesseth that the afd Richard Thompson for the barring all Estates Tail and remainders over of and in the Lands Tenements and Hereditaments herein after mentioned and for and in consideration of the Sum of Five Shillings Lawful Money of Maryland to him in Hand paid by the said Ephraim Thompson before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and for Divers other good causes and considerations him the said Richard Thompson thereunto moving Hath bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth bargain and sell unto the said Ephraim Thompson his Heirs and Assigns All that Part of a Tract of Land lying in Cecil County afd called the Three Bohemian Sisters heretofore granted to a certain Augustine Herman which is bounded on the Northward and North Westward by a Creek called Broad Creek and heretofore called Judiths Creek on the South Westward by a Creek called Back Creek on the Southward and South Eastward by a Road formerly leading from Back Creek to Saint Georges on Delaware called Jacob Young's Cart Road and on the Eastward and Northeastward by the great Choptanck Road containing thirteen hundred and Sixty Acres together with all Houses out Houses Buildings Gardens Orchards Trees Woods Underwoods Hereditaments Profits Commodities and Appurtenances (whatsoever) |
