       On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Written Viz.t

       Prince Georges County fs.t   I hereby Certify that Cap.t Abraham
       Weddell and M.r John Poulton personally appeared before us two of his
       Ldps Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and Province of
       Maryland and made Oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God
       that they saw M.rs Jane Hardman & M.r William Whaley sign
       seal & deliver the annexd Power Attorney as their Acts and Deeds
       to & for the uses within Mentioned & that the said M.rs Jane Hardman
       and M.r William Whaley desired they would Subscribe the same
       as evidences                                 sworn before this 23.d day of June 1756

       To all to whom these Presents shall come I James Stone of
LS  Bishopsgate Street London Oilman and Colourman send Greeting
x.d  Whereas I the said James Stone did sometime in or about the Month
       of Febry in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
       sixty ship and load on Board the good ship or Vessell called the
       Saint George Captain Jacob Waters Master then Bound from the
       Port of London to Maryland divers Colours Oils Paints and other
       Goods Wares and Merchandizes and Consigned or Directed the same
       to Jonathan Plowman of Baltimore in Maryland aforesaid Merchant
       for the use and account of me the said James Stone which said Goods
       Wares and Merchandizes I the said James Stone by a subsequent order
       or Letter to the said Jonathan Plowman did order the said Goods
       Wares and Merchandizes to be delivered to Captain John Parker to
       be by him Sold and Disposed of for the use and account of me the said
       James Stone  And Whereas the said Captain John Parker is since dead
       have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed and by these presents
       do make Ordain Constitute and Appoint the said Jonathan Plowman
       of Baltimore aforesaid Merchant my true and Lawful Attorney for me
