             On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t
   
       Received on the Day and Year within writin from the within named
       David Ross James White and Zachariah White the Sum of thirty
       Pounds Current Money being the Consideration Money within
       mentioned to be by them paid to me                       his

       On the Sixth day of July one thousand Seven hundred and sixty
       one came before us the Subscribers Two of his Lordships Justices
       of the Peace of Frederick County the within named Hugh
       Tomlinson and did acknowledge the within Instrument of
       Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses
       within mentioned to be Bargained Sold and Conveyed to be the
       Right and Estate of the within David Ross James White and
       Zachariah White their Heirs and Assigns for ever according to
       the true intent and meaning of the said Deed and the Act of
       Assembly in such case made and Provided  And on the same
       Day and Year came also before us Johanah the Wife of the
       said Hugh Tomlinson and being by us privately examined
       apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband did
       Release and declare that she did by this her acknowledgment
       intend to release all her right and Title of Dower of ^in^ and to the
       Land and Premisses aforesaid and she did also at the same
       Time further declare that she made such Release and this
       acknowledgment voluntarily and freely without being induced
       thereto by fears or Threats of or ill usage by her said Husband or
       fear of his Displeasure                                          Cha.s Jones
