(297) and Juliana his Wife and the Heirs and Assigns of the said Juliana for ever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed and did declare and assent that she did make the said acknowledgement voluntarily and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or threats of or ill usage from her said Husband or through fear of his displeasure 9 sides R.d Tilghman Record 16th May 1761 x.d Maryland Sc.t This Indenture made this thirteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord Christ One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One Between Richard Tilghman Earle of Queen Anns County and Province afd Gent of the one Part and Eleanor Carroll of Cecil County in the Same Province Spinster of the other Part Witnesseth that the Said Richard Tilghman Earle for and in consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling to him the said Richard in hand paid at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and of and from every part and Parcel thereof doth hereby release acquit exonerate and discharge her the said Eleanor Carroll her Heirs Exors Admrs and Assigns and every of them Hath given granted bargained Sold Aliend released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents Doth give grant Bargain Sell alien release enfeoffe and confirm unto ^her^ the said Eleanor Carroll All that part of a Tract of Land laying and being formerly in Prince Georges County but now in Frederick County called the five Daughters (the whole containing according to Patent fifteen hundred Acres) which is included by and contained within the following Lines to wit Beginning at the end of one hundred and Sixty Seven Perches on the fourth Line of the Original Tract called Pork Hall of which the said Tract called the five Daughters is a Part and running from thence North eighteen Degrees East one hundred and twenty seven Perches then North twenty two Degrees and one half of a Degree West forty perches then North twenty eight degrees West three hundred and forty (Perches) |
