(284) Memorandum that on the 28 Day of April One thousand seven hundred sixty and one Henry Ridgely Party to the within Deed acknowledged the within Bargained Land and Premisses to be the Right Title and Estate of him the said Richard Reynolds his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in that case made and Provided at the same Time Came Anne Ridgely Wife of the said Henry Ridgely and being examined a part from the hearing of her said Husband did freely and Voluntarily without the fears or threats of her said Husband acknowledged her Right of Dower to the within Land and Premisses to be the right Title and Estate of the said Richard Reynolds his Heirs and Assigns for ever before Acknowledged before us Henry Howard Ephoward Receiv.d April 28 1761 Twenty four Pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money within Mentioned Test Hy Ridgely Henry Howard I have received the Sum of Twelve Shillings Sterling being the Alienation Fine for the Land on account of the Lord Proprietary 7½ sides this 5.th of May 1761 Recorded 5th May 1761 Edw.d Lloyd You William Rawlings on your Solemn Affirmation Declare that you will not for Lucre or Malice delay any Person or Persons applying to you for any business belonging to the Office you officiate in and tat you will not directly or indirectly Ask Demand take or Receive from or charge to any Such Person or Persons to your own use (except your salary from your Principal) any fee or Reward whatsoever, for any service |
