(268) Jones the Sum of One hundred and thirty Pounds Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned as Witness my Hand the day and year aforesaid Test Sam.l Hepburn Jos Miles Mary.d fs.t 13.th Ap.l 1761 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Joseph Miles who acknowledged this as his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses within mentioned to be the Estate of him the said Charles Jones his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to Law And the same time Came Margaret the Wife of the said Joseph Miles being privately examined out of Hearing of her Husband acknowledged her right of Dower of the Land within mentioned to be the right of Charles Jones his Heirs and Assigns and Declared that she made the same acknowledgement freely and willingly without being induced thereto by fears or threats of ill usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged before Recorded 20th April 1761 J Hepburn I have received the Sum of Six Shillings and five pence Sterling being the Alienation fine for the within Land upon Account of the Lord Baltimore 7 sides 20 April 1761 Edw.d Lloyd Recorded 20th April 1761 x.d This Indenture made this twentieth day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one Between David Ross of Prince Georges County Surgeon of the one Part and Joseph Miles of Frederick County Planter of the other Part Whereas the said Joseph Miles by Deed or Mortgage bearing Date the ninth day of April one thousand (Seven) |
