(266) Signed Sealed and Delivered Sam.l Mackubin (seal) In the Presence of John Brice Jun.r Tho.s Norris (seal) William Paca Robert Alexander (seal) On the back of the aforegoing Release was thus Written to wit Received the Day and Year first within Written of and from the within named Thomas Norris the sum of Twenty Pounds Current Money being the consideration therein mentioned to be by him paid to me Witness William Paca Sam.l Mackubin John Brice Jun.r Dec.r 2.d 1760 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Samuel Maccubbin party to the within Deed and did acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed for the Uses therein mentioned and that the within granted Lands and Premisses were the Right and Estate of the said Thomas Norris his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof 14 sides Recorded 17th April 1761 Geo Steuart x.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this thirteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one Between Joseph Miles of Frederick County in the Province aforesaid Planter of the one Part and Charles Jones of the Said County Planter of the other Part Witnesseth that the Said Joseph Miles for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and Thirty Pounds Current Money to him in Hand paid by the Said Charles Jones before the Delivery hereof the Receipt and payment of which the Said Joseph Miles Doth hereby acknowledge He the said Joseph Miles Hath granted Bargained Sold Aliened and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien and Confirm unto the said Charles Jones his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract Tract or parcel of Land called Miles Pleasure being a (Tract) |
