(248) being the Alienation fine for the within Land for the Use of the Lord Baltimore 8 sides Recorded 25th March 1761 Edw.d Lloyd x.d This Indenture made this twenty third day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One Between Edward Dorsey Son of Edward in the Province of Maryland Planter of Baltimore County of the one Part and John Gilliss of Ann Arundel County and Province aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Edward Dorsey for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Pounds Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the said John Gilliss before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and thereof doth acquit and Discharge the said John Gilliss his Heirs Executors and Assigns forever Hath given granted Bargained Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents he the said Edward Dorsey doth give grant Bargain Sell Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John Gilliss his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Dorseys Chance lying and being in Baltimore County in the fork of Patpseco falls Beginning at a bounded White Oak standing on a Ridge near the Head of a Run called Piney Run and Running thence North East forty Perches South East to the Beginning containing and laid out for Ten Acres more or less To have and to hold the aforesaid Bargained Land and Premisses and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said John Gillis his Heirs and Assigns for ever to his and their only proper Use and Behoof And the said Edward Dorsey doth for himself his Heirs Executors and Adm.rs Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the said John Gilliss his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Edward Dorsey his Heirs Executors and Adm.rs (All) |
