(247) said Part or Parcel of Land and all and Singular other the Premisses herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby Granted with their and every of their appurtenances unto him the said Vachel Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to the only use and behoof of him the said Vachel Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever the rents hereafter to become due and payable to the Lord Proprietary his Heirs and Successors only excepted In Witness whereof the said Edward Dorsey hath hereunto Set his Hand and Affixed his Seal the Day and Date first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered In the Presence of Edw.d Dorsey of B C (seal) Henry Howard Ephraim Howard On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t March the 8 1761 Reced of Vachel Dorsey Eighteen Pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned Reced p me Test Henry Howard Edw.d Dorsey of B C March the 8 1761 Then Came before us Two of his Lordships Justices for Ann Arundel County the above named Edward Dorsey of B C and acknowledged this indenture to be his Act and Deed and Land and Premisses there Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Vachel Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever and at the same Time came Deborah the Wife of the said Edward Dorsey of B C who being by us privately examined out of the hearing of her said Husband freely acknowledged that she gave up all her Right and Title of Dower to the within mentioned Land Premisses to the said Vachel Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever without any threats or fear of the Displeasure of her said Husband Taken and acknowledged before us the Day and Year abovesaid Henry Howard Ephraim Howard 25 March 1761 Recd the sum of four Shillings and ten pence sterling (being) |
