          On the back of the aforegoing Release was thus Written Viz.t

       Nov.r the Seventh 1760  Then received of Charles Homewood Esquire the ^just^ sums
       of Two thousand one hundred and Eighty one Pounds Maryland Paper Current
       Money and Three hundred thirty three Pounds Sixteen Shillings and four
       pence in peices of Eight at Seven Shillings and Six pence and Pistoles at
       Twenty Seven Shillings being the full Consideration Money of the
       within Specified Release I say received by
       Witnesses then present                                             Jn.o Brice
       hereunto Required
       William Steuart
       S.t Geo Peale

       November 7th 1760  Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       Provincial Justices the within Named John Brice Esquire and Acknowledged
       the within Instrument of Writing to be his proper Act and Deed and the
       Lands and Premisses and Negroes or Slaves therein specified and
       expressed and all and every of them to be the Absolute Right and Estate
       of the said Charles Homewood his Heirs and Assigns for ever according
       to the True Intent and meaning of the same Deed and Pursuant to
       the Act of Assembly in Such Cases made and Expressly Provided
       Taken and acknowledged the Day and Year of our Lord aforesaid before
23 sides
       Recorded Dec.r 19th 1760                                    Geo Steuart

                            This Indenture made this Seventh Day of November
       in the year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred and Sixty Between John
       Brice of Ann Arundel County in the Province aforesaid Esq.r of the one
       Part and Charles Homewood of the Same County and Province Esq.r of
       the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Brice for and in consideration
       of the Sums of Nineteen Shillings and Seven Pence Brittish Sterling Money
       of England and one hundred and Nineteen Pounds thirteen Shillings
       and three Pence Maryland Paper Current Money to him in hand paid
