(198) thereof by the said John Brice to the Ninth Day of March seventeen hundred and fifty nine did amount to the Sum of Sixty three pounds eighteen shillings and three pence Current Money and the said John Brice having commensed Actions in the Provincial Court on three of the said Bonds did at the request of him the said Charles Homewood Strike of the Actions aforesaid and the said Charles Homewood did then that is to say on the Ninth day of March in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred fifty and Nine aforesaid by his Indorsment or Publick Instrument of Writing on the aforesaid Land Mortgage duly acknowledged and Recorded in the Land Records of the Secretarys Office of this Province and in Ann Arundel County Land Records Covenant by the said above specified Recital to and with the said John Brice that the said Recited Mortgage and Mortgaged Premisses should stand be and remain as a Security to the said John Brice for the Payment of Four hundred Eighty Seven Pounds Six Shillings and Eight Pence Current Money and Interest being for the aforesaid Four hundred and Ninety Pounds Eight Shillings and Eight pence paid by him to the said Lancelot Jacques for the aforesaid Charles Homewood as aforesaid Sixty three Pounds Eighteen Shillings and Three pence the interest then due as aforesaid and also the further Sum of Thirteen pounds Nineteen Shillings and Nine pence Current Money the Cost of the said actions in the Provincial Court which Sums Amount Together to the said four hundred Eighty Seven Pounds Six Shillings and Eight Pence Current Money as by the said covenants indorsed on the Back of the said written indenture and recorded Relation being thereunto had may more fully appear And whereas afterwards that is to say on or about the said Ninth day of March Seventeen hundred and Fifty Nine the aforesaid Charles Homewood did for the consideration of one hundred and sixty four Pounds Ten Shillings and Nine Pence Current Money Mortgage to the said John Brice Three Negro Men that is to say Daniel Hitt Alias Christopher and Benboe under the Condition or Proviso to be void upon Payment of the said one hundred Sixty four Pounds Twelve Shillings (and) |
