                At the foot of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Written Viz.t

       Then came George Shipley and acknowledged the within instrument as
       his Act and Deed and Several Premisses therein Mentioned to be the
       Right and Estate of the within named Vachel Dorsey and William
       Shipley their Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and
       Meaning thereof and according to Act of Assembly in Such Cases made
       and Provided before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices
       for Ann arundel County

                            This Indenture made this seventh
       day of November in the year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred
       and Sixty Between John Brice of the City of Annapolis in Ann Arundel
       County in the Province aforesaid Esquire of the one Part and Charles
       Homewood of Ann Arundel County Esquire of the other Part Whereas
       by an Instrument of Writing indented duly acknowledged and
       Recorded in the Secretarys Office of this Province in the Land
       Records of that Office in Libro E I N.o 12 folioes 707 708 709 &
       710 on or about the Twenty Seventh Day of May in the Year of
       our Blessed Lord and Savior Seventeen hundred and fifty six
       Between the aforesaid Charles Homewood of the one Part and the
       aforesaid John Brice of the other Part he the said Charles Homewood
       for the consideration of one thousand Pounds Current Money Did Give
       Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said John
       Brice his Heirs and Assigns for ever all those Several and Distinkt Tracts
       or Parcels of Land hereafter mentioned Specified and Expressed That is to
       say all that Tract or Parcel of Land called Homewoods Lott lying in
       Ann Arundel County and scituate on the North side of Severn River
       containing Thirteen hundred Ninety two Acres of Land more or less
