(173) Said William Worthington Junior for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators did give grant bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said John Worthington his Said Father and unto his heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or parcel of Land called Welshes Cradle lying on the North Side of Patapsco River at a place called Newfoundland on the twentieth day of October Seventeen hundred and forty by his Lordship the Right Honble Charles Lord Baltimore by his Letters Patent granted unto the said William Worthington Junior and to his Heirs and Assigns under his ^said^ Lordships Grant Seal of the said Province and Beginning at Two bounded white Oaks of a parcel of Land called Melinda and runs thence South East half South twenty Perches to a bounded Hickory and two white Oaks by a run then East by North Two hundred and fifty Perches then North North East four hundred and thirty Six Perches then West north West Seven hundred and forty Perches then South South West four Hundred Perches then East South East Five hundred and eighteen Perches then to the first Trees containing and laid out for Two thousand Acres of Land more or Less together with all Edifices Buildings Houses Gardens Yards Orchards Woods Underwoods Water Courses Ways Easments Commodities and Advantages thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to Hold all and Singular the aforesaid Tract of Land called Welshes Cradle with the Premisses and Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the Said John Worthington his Heirs and Assigns and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever subject to the Limitation and Provisoe therein after mentioned in the said Deed by which said Limitation or Provisoe it was Provided always and it was the true intent and meaning of the aforesaid Indenture of Mortgage that if the said William Worthington Jun.r should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Worthington his Heirs Executors or Administrators the abovementioned Sum of Four hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain with Legal Interest for the same from the Date of the aforerecited Indenture of Mortgage at or upon the twenty third Day of July which should be in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred & forty six without Fraud Covin or further delay then the aforerecited Indenture of Mortgage was to have been void and of no Effect else to be and remain in full Force and Virtue (in) |
