          On the Back of the aforesaid commission was thus Written to wit

       20th October 1760  I hereby certify that John Ridout Esquire came before
       me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and
       was Qualified by Virtue of the within commission to him directed by
       taking the Several Oaths to the Government appointed by act of
       assembly repeating the Test and Subscribing the same and Oath of
       Abjuration and taking the usual Oath of Office prescribed by the
       Inspection Law

xd  This Indenture made the Seventeenth day of October in the Year of
       our Lord God Seventeen hundred and Sixty  Between Henry Woodward
       Esquire of Ann Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland of the One
       Part and Charles Homewood of the County and Province aforesaid Esquire
       of the other Part Whereas the Said Charles Homewood by his certain Mortgage
       under his Hand and Seal bearing Date the twelfth day of April in the year
       Seventeen hundred and fifty Nine duly acknowledged and Recorded in Ann
       Arundel County Court Records in Lib.o B B N.o 2 fol.o 235 and 236 the
       Said Charles Homewood acknowledged himself to Stand Indebted unto the
       Said Henry Woodward Esquire in the full Moietie and Sum of Eighty
       one pounds Sixteen Shillings Current Money advanced and paid by the
       said Henry Woodward Esq.r and paid for the Payment and proper discharge
       of eh Debts of said Homewood in and by ^the said^ Mortgage Refferance being thereto
       had may more fully and at large appear in which afsd recited Deed of
       Mortgage it was covenanted declared ratified and confirmed that if the said
       Charles Homewood Esq.r his Heirs Executors Adm.rs or Assigns the afore
       Specified sum of Eighty one pounds Sixteen Shillings Current Money with
       Legal Interest thereon from the Date thereof then the said Deed of
