(125) said Indenture may more Large appear of which said sum of four hundred and eighty eight pounds seventeen shillings and three pence so paid and received in full Satisfaction as aforesaid I the said Philip Thomas Jun.r do acknowledge my self well and truly Contented Satisfied and paid and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof do clearly and absolutely acquit exonerate and discharge the said James Brooke his Heirs Executors and Administrators by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this twenty sixth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Sixty Signd Seald and Deliverd in the Presence of Philip Thomas Jun (seal) sides Will.m Coale Jun.r 3 Rich Brooke Jun.r Recorded 26.th Aug.t 1760 Ex.d 1 Doctor John Holland of Cecil County in the Province of Maryland Aged about Sixty Sixty years being sworn on the Holy Evagelists deposeth and saith that he was well acquainted with Abell Van Burkeloo late a sheriff of Cecil County aforesaid (who has been long since deceased) side and with his hand Writing having often seen him write And the Deponent 1 further saith that he verily believes the Name Abell Van Burkeloo sher set to the first seal on the inquisition hereunto annexed is of the proper Hand writing of the said Abel Van Burkeloo deceased who was late a Sheriff of the County aforesaid John Holland Cecil County fs.t side The above Deposition was taken before me the Subscriber ½ one of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for said County on the 27th day of August 1760 B Moody 2 Doctor John Holland of Cecil County in the Province of Maryland Aged about Sixty Years being Sworn on the Holy Evangelists deposeth and saith that he was well acquainted with John Jarvert who resided in the County (aforesaid) |
