       July 5th 1760  Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Joseph Evitts and and acknowledged
       the within Deed according to Law    
                                                                                     Geo Steuart

       July the 16.th 1760  Received of M.r Thomas Brooke Hodgkin One Penny
       Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation Fine on the within
sides   mentioned Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his
8½  Lordships Agent and Receiver General
       Recorded 16th July 1760                                       Rich.d Dorsey

       Received of M.r George Simmons three Shillings Sterling for his
       Lordships use (it being the Alienation Fine on a Moiety of the within
side  mentioned three hundred Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from
½    Edward Lloyd Esq his Lordships Agent and Receiver General

    Thus far accounted for w.th y.e Com.rs of the Loan Office for the Duties


Ex.d  Know all Men by these Presents that I Philip Thomas Junior of Ann
       Arundel County have received and had this present day of James Brooke
       of Frederick the sum of four hundred eighty eight pounds Seventeen
       Shillings and three pence Sterling Money being in full for the redemption
       and full Satisfaction of all that Tract or parcell of Land called Charley
       Forrest Containing one thousand and eighty acres being his present
       Dwelling Plantation also Brooke bottom containing five hundred
       acres in an Indenture bearing date the third day of October one thousand
       seven hundred and fifty seven and made Between Philip Thomas
       Jun.r of the one part and James Brooke of the other part of for and
       concerning the Bargain and Sale of all and Singular the said Tracts or
       parcels of Land conditionally to be reconveyed upon payment of the
       sum of four hundred and Eighty Eight pounds seventeen shillings and
       three pence Sterling Money Principal and Interest as in and by the
                                                                                                 (said)
