x.d  Know all Men by these Presents that I John Carroll Second Son of
LS  M.r Daniel Carroll of Marlbro in Prince Georges County in the Province of
       Maryland Deceased for & in consideration of the sum of five Shillings sterling
       to me in Hand paid by Daniel Carroll of Prince Georges County aforesaid eldest
       Brother to the Said John Carroll Have remised released and alltogether
       quit Claim to the Said Daniel Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever  All the
       Right Title Claim and Estate which I have or by any Means may have of
       & in all that Tract or parcell of Land Lying in Frederick County in the
       Province of Maryland called Josephs Park and Allso all that Tract or
       Parcell of Land lying in Frederick County in the Province aforesaid called
       Partnership together with all that Tract or parcel of Land lying in
       Frederick County in the Province aforesaid called John and Ann or by
       what other name or names the said Lands may be known as also that
       Lott of Ground within the Town of Marlbro whereon the Dwelling House
       or Tenement of Mary Townley heretofore did Stand and also the Several Lotts
       which are in the said Town of Marlbro & which lye between the said
       Tenement of Mary Townleys & the Common Landing place heretofore & yet
       Fencd in All which said Lands Lotts and Meadow Grounds were
       devizd to me by the Last Will & Testament of my Late Honoured  
       Father Daniel Carroll as per the Said Last Will and Testament reference
       being thereunto had will appear   To have and to Hold all the
       said Several Tracts and Parcels of Lands Lotts and Meadow Grounds
       with their and each of their Appurtenances to him the said Daniel
       Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever In Witness whereof I have
       hereunto Sett my Hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of January in
       the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty
