(104) Calvert County fs.t These are to Certify whom it may concern that the Worshipful David Arnold and Charles Grahame Gentlemen who subscribed their Names to the above Acknowledgment were at the time of so doing and Still is two of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary's Sides Justices for the County aforesaid Lawfully Commissioned & Qualified and 5 to all such acknowledgments by them so taken and Signed full faith is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout In Testimony whereof I have Subscribed my Name and Affixed the Publick Seal of said County Court this 12th day of May 1760 Recorded 4th June 1760 W Ireland Clk Cal Co.ty Cour Ex.d This Indenture made this 27th day of November Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Between John Purdam of the County of Frederick and Province of Maryland planter of the one part and Richard Snowden of the County of Ann Arundel and Province aforesaid Iron Master of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Purdam being Legally and Rightfully Possessed of in and to four parcels or Tracts of Land the one of which Tracts called the Effords Delight containing one hundred and Seventy Six Acres and also one other Tract called Purdams Bitt containing Eleven Acres also one other Tract called Purdams Discovery containing Sixty Acres also one other Tract ^called^ Addition to Purdam's Discovery containing Eighty Nine Acres scituate lying and being in Ann Arundel County for and in consideration of the Sum of fifty pounds Sterling ^money^ to him in hand paid by the said Richard Snowden the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and every part thereof doth fully acquit exonerate and discharge (him) |
