94) beyond the seas Merchant was likewise indebted to the said Thomas Couts in two thousand pounds for so much money had and received by the said John French for the use of the said Thomas Couts And it was further found by the said Inquisition That the said Thomas Couts was possessed of twelve hundred hogsheads of Tobacco the produce of five Cargoes of Goods sent from England in the ship Wellcome Supply or in some other Vessell or Vessells consigned to the said William Watts in his lifetime and Patrick Andrew & other persons Merchants in Maryland in parts beyond the seas which said Twelve hundred hogsheads of Tobacco did at the time of taking the said Inquisition remain in the hands of Patrick Andrews of Putuxen in Maryland Merchant and are worth to be sold the sum of three thousand pounds of lawfull Money of Great Brittain And it was further found by the said Inquisition that the said Thomas Couts in his own Right was possest of the ship or Vessell called the Wellcome Supply Barnard Townesend Master of the Burthen of Tunns or thereabouts with her Tackle and Apparell which said Vessell did at the time of taking the said Inquisition remain in the custody of the aforesaid Barnard Townesend and is worth to be sold the sume of one thousand pounds of lawfull Money of Great Brittain All which said Tobacco and every part & parcell thereof and allso all |
