(484 af.d Bargained Land & premises or which is hereby Intended to be bargained and sold & every part thereof w.th the appurts thereunto belonging against himself and his heirs And against any other person or persons claiming by from or under him or any of his said heirs unto him the s.d George George Clagett his Heirs and assigns shall and will warrant & Defend by these presents In Wittness whereof the af.d Charles Clagett hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his Seal the Day and year first above written Cha (Seal) Clagett On the back of which Deed is thus endorsd Viz.t Sealed and Delivered M.d That on the Twelfth day in the presence of us of Feb.ry Anno Dm 1722 came before Jn.o Mackall me one of his Lordships Justices his of the Provincial Court of Maryland Joseph + Houton the w.thin Named Charles Clagett and mark acknowledged the within written Indenture to be his Act and Deed And the Land and premises therein Mentioned to be bargained to be the right of the w.thin named George Clagett his Heirs & Assigns according to the true Intent & Meaning of the Same Indenture And at the Same Time Mandlin Clagett wife of the af.d Charles Clagett being by me secretly examined out of her husbands hearing Did acknowledge that she of her own Voluntary will & consent and without any apprehension of her husbands Displeasure Give up all her right Title and Dower of in and unto the af.d Bargained Land & premises with the appurtenances according to the true intent of the af.d indenture In Testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my hand the day and year first above written Jn.o Mackall Recorded July 19.th 1723 |
