(480 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed is thus endorsed Viz.t Signed Sealed and Delivered In presence of John Norris George The mark G of Tho Addison M.d The Seventh Day of March alder One Thousand Seven hundred and twenty two came before me Thomas Addison one of his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Court The within named George Clagett and acknowledged the within granted Land & premises to the w.thin Named Samuel Chew according to act of assembly as also at the same time did Mary Clagett wife of the s.d George acknowledge her release of Dower in & to the said granted land being first privately examined according to act of assembly Made and Provided in Such Cases Before me Th Addison March the 11.th 1722/3 Reced of Sam.ll Chew the Sum of one hundred Twenty four pounds sterl being in full for the w.thin granted Lands and premises by me Geo Clagett Recorded July 19.th 1723 11½ The following Deed ought to have been Recorded before the aforegoing but happend otherwise by Mistake This Indenture Made the twelfth day of February in the year of Our Lord God One Thousand seven hundred & Twenty two Between Charles Clagett of Calvert County in the Province of Maryland planter of the one part and George Clagett of Prince George's County in the province af.d of the other part Wittnesseth That whereas a certain Thomas Clagett late of Calvert County af.d Gentl deced in his life time had purchased |
