       therein Menconed to be the Right of the within
       named Amos Garrett his heirs & assignes forever
       according to act of assembly in that case made and
       provided

                      This Indenture made the 24.th
       day of Aprill in the year of our Lord God seventeen
       hundred and Twenty three Between R.d Fowler of
       Baltemore County cooper of the one part and
       Joseph Howard of Ann Arundell County planter of the
       other part Wittnesseth that the said Rich.d Fowler
       for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty two
       pounds ster and eight pounds of curr.t Money of
       Maryland by the said Joseph Howard to him the said
       Rich.d Fowler in hand paid or secure to be paid
       the Receipt whereof he the said Rich.d Fowler
       Doth hereby acknowledge and doth by these presents
       absolutely acquitt & Discharge the said Joseph Howard
       his heirs ex.rs and adm.rs from the said Sums and
       from every part and parcell thereof Hath Given
       Granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed
       and Doth by these presents give Grant Bargain
       Sell Alien Enfeoffe & Confirm unto him the said
       Joseph Howard his heirs & assignes for ever
                                                                      all
