365 Cultivated Uncultivated and Surplus Lands and the finishing such warrants by Makeing the Granter & an Estate of fee symple Does now chiefly center in you the said Philimon Lloyd (except the Receiveing the Money due for such Grants w.ch by our former Instructions my Receiver Generall for the Time being is to Doe) so the hearing & Determining Desirences Ariseing between contending parties in Land Affairs hitherto used to be heard & Determined in the office comonly called the Land Office must Naturally fall under your cognizance and I Doe hereby Empower you the said Philemon Lloyd to Judge and Determine in the s.d Affairs as farr as Legally you may according to Right Reason & good Concience 19.dly 4.thly You are hereby Empowered and Directed to Make out a Pattent and all things necessary thereto to M.r Nicholas Sewell for Twelve hundred Acres of Land near the Mouth of Petuxent River called Mattapany Sewell which he is now in possession of and Likewise a Pattent for a Peice of Land Cont.a one hund.d & fifty acres called S.t Peters lying without his bounds of S.t Marys Hill provided it will not prejudice any other Mans Claim & he the said Nicholas Sewell is to pay me no fine for the same (but) |
