x.d  Barbados Know all men by these presents that wee Thomas
       Withers and Thomas H^a^rrison of the town of S.tt Michael in y.e
       Island abovesaid Merchants have made ordained constituted &
       and & appointed ^and by these presents do make ordaine & constitute & appoint^ Richard Bennet of Maryland Esq our true and Lawfull
       Attorney for us and in our names and to our use to ask sue for
       recover and receive of and from Amos Garret of Maryland Merch.tt
       and from the heirs Exe.rs or Adminis.rs of Charels Carroll of Maryland
       Merch.tt Dece.d or any of them all such sum and sums of mony goods
       wares merchandizes & Effects Whatsoever as now are due oweing or in
       any wise belonging to us the constituants allso to acco.tt about the premisses
       the accounts to veiw examine settle and adjust and the ballance
       to receive and to Compound conclude and agree and what shall be agreed
       on to receive upon recepts to give accquittances and other sufficient
       discharges in due form and if need be to sue to appear before all
       Governours Judges and Justices in any Court or Courts to do say pursue
       Implead seise seques^ter^ attach imprison and to condem and out of prison
       again to deliver and attorney or attorneys under him ^to^ make & the
       same at his pleasure to revoke and finally for us the said Thomas
       Withers and Thomas Harrison and to our use to doe and perform all
       and every further act and acts thing and things necessary to be
       Done and performed in and about the premises and that as
       fully and amply to all intents and purposes as if wee the constituants
       were personall present Ratifying and holding firm whatever
       our s.d attorney or his substitute shall Lawfully do by vertue
       hereof In Wittness whereof wee have hereunto set our hands
       and seals this thirteenth day of March Anno Domini 1720
