269 Maryland fs Know all men by these presents that I x.d John Godber of London Marryner am held and firmly bound unto Josiah Rolfe and Henry Evans in the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds Sterling Mony to be paid to the said Joseph Rolfe & Henry Evans their certain attorney adm.rs or assignes to w.ch payment well & Truely to be made and Done I bind my self my heirs ex.rs and adm.rs firmly by these presents sealed w.th my seale and Dated this twelfe day of May Anno Dom 1721 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above ^bound^ Named John Godber doe and shall well and truely pay or cause to be paid unto the s.d Jos.h Rolfe and Henry Evans their certain Attorneys adm.rs or assignes the just sum of one hundred and Twenty five pounds Sterling at or upon the Delivery of the ship called the patient Eliz.a of London at the port of Lond.n w.th out fraud or covin then the above Obligation to be void Else to Remain in full force and vertue in Law Sealed and Delivered in the John Godber (seal) presents of us Joh Beale On the back of the foregoing Instrum.t was thus written (viz.t) Joshua George June 26.th 1724 Then Came before me Samuel Young Esq.r Chief Justice Chief Justice of ^his Lordships^ provinicall Court of Maryland Joshua George on of the w.th in Subscribing Evidences (&) |
