(145) To all to whome these psents shall come we S.r Rich.d Foare Knight Lord Mayor and the alderman of the City of London send Greeting Know yee that on the Day of the Date hereof in the Queen Majesties Court holden before us in the Chamber of the Guild hall of the s.d city psonally came and appeared James Fodder of London Gent and Marlinda Gruckey of London Notary Publick being persons well known and worthy of good creditt & did by Solemn Oath which they severally Took upon the wholy holy Evanglist of all Mighty God before us then & there solemnly declare Testifye and Dispose to be True that they were psent & did see Henry Ferne by the name & adicon of Henry Ferne Esq.r Receiver Generall and Cashire of her Majesties Customes seale & as his act and Deed deliver to the uses & purposes therein Menconed & contained the parchment Deed now Exhibitted unto them the s.d Deponants whole undefaced uncanceled bareing date the fourth day of this Instant Aprill purporting and being an assignment of the debts & & Effects of Peregrin Brown of London Merchant now in the parts beyound the seas unto Maurice Birchfield Esq.r Surveyor Generall of her Majesties Customes in the Nothern District on the Continant of America & that they the s.d Deponants as Wittnesses to the sealeing & Delivery of the s.d deed did thereupon write & endorse their Names as thereby it doth & may appear (In) |
