84 Citty Gent and Rich.d Higgins (his Clerk) Wittnesses present did first signe and then Seale and deliver as her act and deed the two deeds of bargain & sale and release in fee hereto affixed dated the thirteenth and fourteenth day of this Instant Aprill And thereupon I the said Notary did endorse my name and the said Francis Freeman and Rich.d Higgins did endorse their names on the said Two deeds at wittneses to the Execution thereof All w.ch upon request of the said Sarah Webb I the said Notary do hereby attest under my hand and accustomed seale the day & year first above written Quod attestor Mann ac sigillo recorded Aprill Feb.ry y.e 28.th 1711 Richus Hasell No.rius Pub.cus Cost 28.th Octob.r x.d This Indenture made the Thirteenth day of January in the Tenth year of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c.a Annoq Dom 1711 Between John Hodges of the Citty of Bristoll in the kingdom of Great Brittain Marrinor now Resident in Annarundell County in the province of Maryland of the one part and W.m Holland of Ann arundle County afd Esquire of the other part Whereas Sarah Webb of the Citty of Bristoll afd Widdow only sister and heir of Seth Biggs late of Annarundle County ^afd^ Esq.r by her Containd deeds of Lease and release bearing date the thirteenth day fourteenth days of Aprill now Last past for the Considerations therein Menconed Did grant bargain sell alien Convey Release and Confirm unto the said Jn.o Hodges and his heirs for ever All and singular the houses Lands Messuages Plantations Tenements and hereditam.ts of what nature kind or Quallity soever Lying and being in Maryland afd Togeather with all and singular Negroes profitts comodities advantages emoluments hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever which to the said Sarah Webb did or might belong as sister and heir of the said Seth Biggs deced With Intent that he the said John Hodges or his heires should and might with all Convenient speed sell and dispose of the Inheritance and fee simple of the said premises as in and by the said severall deeds (relacon being thereunto had) may more fully and at Large appear Now this Indenture wittnesseth that the said John Hodges as well for and in consideration of & in performance of the Trust and Confidence in him reposed by the said Sarah Webb as also for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds sterling mony to him in hand paid and secured to be paid by the said W.m Holland at or before thensealing & delivery |
