                The fol.o deed of Gift recorded at y.e req.t of Phillip Dowell of AA Co.ty

       Maryland fs   Know all men by these presents that I Mary Dowell of the
x.d            County of Annarundell Daughter of Richard Tideings of the County
       afd deced wittnesseth that for & in Consid.n of the Naturall Love and affection
       I bear unto my second son John Dowell do by these presents Give and set over
       all my right title Interest Claim & demand of my part of a tract of Land Lying in
       Balt County Commonly Called & known by the name of Newyears Purchase
       To have and to hold the said Land unto him the said John Dowell and his heires
       for ever Provided my said son John Dowell shall live to be of one and twenty
       yeares of age but in Case of his Mortallity before he Come to the age one &  
       twenty yeares then I give the said Land as afd w.th all Rights & properties as afd
       unto my two Daughters Ann & Mary Dowell & their heires for ever equally to
       be divided between them in wittness w.rof I have hereunto set my hand & seale
       this 14.th day of Sept.r 1711                                                her

       known unto Men y.t on this day y.e Nineteenth day of Feb.ry Anno Dom 1705
       ^before me^ Francis Raworth Notary Publick Lawfully Admitted & sworn living
       at Deale in the County of Kent & in y.e psence of y.e underwritten
       Wittnesses personally appeared Tobias Bowles of Deal af.d Merch.t
       who hath made ordained Constituted & appointed & by these psents
       doth make ordain Constitute & appoint James Bowles of Patuxen
       River in Maryland Merch.t to be his true & Lawfull Att.ry giving
       and by these psents granting unto his said att.ry full power & authority for
       him y.e said Constitua^n^t in his name & for ^to^ his use to ask demand
       recover & receive all such Goods Wares & Merchandizes & all other dues
       & demands Whatsoever which now are or hereafter shall be due or
       any Wise belonging to y.e said Constituant by or from any pson
       or psons Whatsoever or howsoever in Maryland afd And after with
