       advantages whatsoever to the said office of secretary
       belonging or in anywise appertaining in as full and
       ample manner as any person or persons heretofore
       have held or enjoyed the same In Pursuance of
       which powers so granted to us Wee doe hereby
       nominate and appoint Philimon Lloyd Esq.r to
       be our said Deputy Secretary who is to do and perform
       all things necessary in ^the^ execution of the said office of
       secretary according to the Tennor of our said comission
       which we have herewith Transmitted to John Hart
       Esq.r Governour of the said province of Maryland to be
       there enrolled In Wittness whereof we have
       hereunto set our hands and seals in London this
       thirty first day of May in the year of our Lord one
       thousand seven hundred and Fifteen

Ex.d  This Indenture Made the eleventh day of January
       in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and fifteen
       Between Richard Llewellin of S.t Maries County of in the province
       of Maryland of y.e one parte and Philemon Lloyd of the County of
       Queen Anne in the province afd Esq.r of the other parte Wittnesseth
       that the said Richard for and in consideration of the full and just sume
       of thirty thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable leafe tobacco
       to him in hand at and before y.e ensealeing and Delivery of these
       presents by the said Philemon well and truely paid the receipt whereof
       he the said Richard Doth fully clearly and absolutely hereby acknowledge
       himselfe therewith fully satisfied contented and paid and thereof &
       of and from every parte and parcell thereof doth clearly acquit
       exonerate and discharge the said Philemon Lloyd Esq.r his heirs
       ex.rs and adm.rs forever by these presents Hath given granted
