336 x.d This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of July one thousand seven hundred and fifteen by and Between Hugh Riley of Prince Georges County plant.r of the one parte and Charles Carroll of Annarundell County Esq.r of the other parte Wittnesseth that y.e said Hugh for and in Consideration of the sume of one hundred and seventy eight pounds three shillings and three pence ste^r^ling to him in hand paid at and before the Ensealeing and Delivery of these p.rsents well and truly paid or secured to paid by the ^s.d^ Charles (that is to say) forty and two pounds seventeen shill and tenn pence parte thereof for and on account of Thomas Bond of London Merchant twenty eight pounds more parte thereof for and on account of the assignes of the statute of Bankrupt against David Dennis Late of London afd Merchant forty two pounds more parte thereof on account of James Heath of Kent County Gentl and the remaining sixty and five pounds five shillings and five pence sterl for and on account of the said Charles Carroll party to these p.rsents the receipt the said severall sumes and every of them the said Hugh doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every parte and parcell thereof doth fully clearly and absolutely exonerate accquit & Discharge as well the said Thomas Bond the assignes of the statute of Bankrupt against I the said David Denis James Heath their and every of their heirs ex.rs and adm.rs and assignes forever as the said Charles Carroll his heirs & assignes forever hath Given granted Bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these p.rsents doth for him and his heirs give grant Bargaine sell alien Enfeoffe and Confirme unto him the said Charles all those severall Tracts or parcells of Land hereinafter specified (that is to say) all that Tract or parcell of Land called Hiccory Thickett Lying in Prince Georges County afd bounded as followeth Begining at a bound pine tree standing at the head of a Marsh belonging to a branch that Issueth out of the north branch of Patuxent river on the west side the said River and about two two Miles above the mouth of a branch called the Horsepen branch runing thence south by west three hundred and twenty perches (then) |
