        to these presents interchangeably have have put their
        hands and seales the day and year first above Written

       On the Back of y.e aforegoing deed was thus endorst
       Memorand y.t y.e one and twetieth day of June in the
       year of our Lord God 1715 Came before me William Holland
       Chief Justice of the prov.ll Court y.e within named John
       Talbot and Henry Hall partys to the within deed and
       acknowledged y.e same pursuant to an Act of Assembly
       in that case made and provided In Testimoney
       whereof I have hereunto sett my hand y.e day & year abovs.d

x.d     This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of
       May in the year of our Lord one thousand seaven hundred and
       Fifteen Between James Carroll of Annarundell County of
       the one part and Thomas Hiensy of the s.d county of the
       other part witnesseth that the s.d James for and in consideration
       of ^the sume of^ twenty pounds to him the said James secured to be paid the receipt
       whereof the said James doth hereby acknowledge Hath Given Granted
       bargained sold aliened enfeoffed confirmed and made over as by
       these presents he the said James doth for himself and his heirs
       Give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe confirme and make over
       unto the said Thomas his heirs and assignes for ever all that p.t
       or parcell of land part of a tract called new years Gift lying in
       Baltemore County at a plene in the s.d county called Elk ridge
       ^orriginally^ granted unto Charles Carroll of Annarundell County Esq.r
       Begining at a bounded spannish oake Being a boundary of the
       Land Laid out for John Cross also of the said New Years Gift runing
       thence North North East fifty eight p.s thence north east by north ninety
