298 1111 x.d This Indenture made the sixteenth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fourteen Between Thomas Frisby of Cæcill County Gentl of the one part and Raichell Greenberry of Ann arundell County in the province of Maryland widdow of the other part Wittnesseth that the s.d Thomas Frisby for and in Consid.n of the one hundred fifty two pounds fifteen shil sterl money of Great Brittaine to him in hand paid by the said Rachell the receipt whereof the said Tho.s doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth fully discharge the s.d Rachell her heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Hath Bargained and sold enfeoffed & confirmed as by these presents he doth for himself and his heirs bargain sell enfeoffe and confirme unto her the said Rachell Greenberry all that tract or parcell of land called Painters Rest lying on the north side of Sasafrax river at the head of the said river in Cecill County Begining at a marked chesnutt tree standing on a branch by a valley near the river side being an easterly bounded tree of a parcell of land laid out for Sam.l Hill and from thence bounded with the river on the south by a line drawn east south east seventy five p.s to a marked red oake standing on a bank by the river being the first bounded tree of the former survey of the said Land and from the said red oake bounded w.th the river and the main branch of the river by a line drawn east southerly four hundred seventy five p.s to a marked red oake standing by the side of the branch respecting a fork of the branch on the Opposite side and runing from the said red oake by a line drawn north east five hundred thirty five p.s and from the end of the north east Line by a line drawn west north west four hundred thirty five p.s and from the end of the west north west Line w.th a streight Line seven hundred and thirty p.s to y.e first bounded Chesnutt Containing and layd out for the Q.ty of sixteen hundred and thirty Acres of Land more or less as p the Certificate of Survey of said Land taken up for Nicholas Painter and dated the seventeenth day of December one thousand six hundred Seventy Eight more fully and at Large it doth and may appear And by the said Nicholas Painter by deed conveyed to Co.l Henry Lowe of S.t Mary's County and by said Lowe by deed convey'd to M.r W.m Burgess of Ann.ll County by said W.m Burgess bequeathed (in will) to his son Benj.a Burgess and (by) |
