235 of these presents by the said Charles well & truely paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge & thereof & of every parte & parcell thereof doth fully clearly and absolutely Exonerate Accquitt & Discharge him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assignes forever Hath Given granted bargained sold aliened efeoffed and confirmed and by these presents for himselfe and his heirs ^doth^ give grant Bargaine sell alien enfeoffe and confirme unto him the said Charles Carroll All that Tract or parcell of Land Lying in Prince Georges County afd Called Frankland Orriginally Granted unto Cap.t Luke Gardiner late of ^this^ province of [illegible] this province decd for eight hundred acres saveing one hundred acres parte thereof to be conveyed to a certaine Richard Edlen alsoe all that seven hundred seventy and three acres remaining unsold of a Tract or Mannor of land called Warberton Mannor orriginally granted unto Doctor Luke Barbour late of this province alsoe deced for twelve hundred acres lying in Prince Georges County afd alsoe all That Tract or parcell of land Called the Barens lately granted unto him the said Luke for one thousand acres lying alsoe in the said County of Prince Georges togeather with all & singular the Rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining To have and to hold all the said Bargained Lands and premises unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs & assignes forever to and for the only proper use & behoofe of him the said Charles his heirs and assignes & to no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Luke doth hereby for himselfe and his heirs covenant promise Grant and agree to & with ^him^ the said Charles his heirs & Assignes that all y.e said Bargained Lands premises and other the appurtenances are at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents cleare & free of and from all ^manner of^ former incumbrances whatsoever save only the Quitt Rents hereafter to grow Due to the Lord Prop.ry for the time being and that the same against all persons whatsoever he will forever warrant and Defend unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assignes Provided always and it is the true intent & meaning of these p.rsents that if the said Luke his heirs ex.rs adm.rs or assignes shall & will at or upon y.e second Day of June next pay or cause to be paid unto him the said Charles his ex.rs (adm.rs) |
