210 x.d This Indenture this Fifteenth day of Aprill one Thousand seven hundred and fourteen ^by &^ Between Edward Boteler of Calvert County Gentl and Anne his wife of the Vide Carrolls one parte & Charles Carroll of the City of Ann Apolis Esq.r rec.d of y.e mony & of the other parte Wittnesseth that the said Edward & Anne for Ass.r to Lingan & in Consideration of y.e sume of one hundred and forty pounds fol 491 sterl to them in hand paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents by the said Charles the receipt whereof they doe hereby Grant Acknowledge and thereof and of every parte and parcell thereof do fully and absolutely Exonerate Acquitt & Discharge him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assignes forever Have Given granted Bargained sell Alien Enfeoffed and Confirmed ^And by these presents doe for them and their heirs give grant bargaine sell alien Enfeoffe & Confirme^ unto him the said Charles all Those two tracts or parcells of Land herein after described That is to Say All that Tract or parcell of Land lying in Baltemore County Called Backlingan and Granted by pattent under his Lop.s Greater Seale at Armes the twentyeth day of Aprill one Thousand six hundred Ninety & Six unto George Lingan late of Charles County Gentl who Devised the same unto the said Anne ^As^ Alsoe All that Tract or parcell of Land Cont one hundred Eighty & seven acres being parte of a Tract ^Called^ in the ^Ranchers^ adventure lyeing in Prince Georges County afd & Conveyed by a deed Indented & duely executed unto the said Edward Boteler by John Brooke of the said County Togeather with all and singular the houses out houses Gardens Orchards Barnes stables rights members and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any ways appertaining ^To have and^ To hold the same unto him the said the said two Tracts or parcells of Land with all and singular the premises unto him the said Charles his heirs and Assignes forever to and for the only p^r^oper use & behoofe of him the said Charles his heirs and assignes ^forever^ & to noe other use intent or purpose ^or Construction^ whatsoever And the said Edward Boteler and Anne (his) |
